3rd WUC Floorball Championship allocated to Finland

The FISU Executive Committee allocated the 3rd World University Floorball Championship to Kuortane and Seinäjoki, Finland in its meeting on 25 of May 2006 in Brussels.

After the successful hosting of the World University Futsal Championships in Finland in 1996, the Finnish Student Sports Federation is pleased and ready to organize a respective event in floorball – a sport which has since a long time been one of the most popular sports among Finnish students.

“As one of the leading floorball nations in the world we can offer world-class facilities together with experienced organization in order to ensure smooth running of the event. An enthusiastic audience will guarantee a great atmosphere for the games and Kuortane Sports Institute forms a true athlete village with plentiful of free-time activities for the joy of participants,” says the President of the Finnish Student Sport Federation, Mr Jussi Ansala.



Finland has got the Games! Mr Jukka Tirri, Mr Tapio Korjus, Mr George E. Killian from FISU and Mr Taneli Tiilikainen in Brussels 26 May 2006.
